Hi, i need some help with this. i am getting a used (2008) Mac pro with no OS that i want to put ML on but i was thinking i could Download it from the mac app store from my unsupported Macbook and then put it on a USB Flash drive and do a clean install like i did with Lion on my macbook. I did a google search and some people say it now check's to see if your mac is supported before it lets you download Have any of you tryed this yet? Thanks for your help:)

That's was the case with Lion (in my case I had too little RAM, which I fixed by adding some more RAM :) ) and still applies to ML i.e. it won't allow the download unless your MAC hardware is supported.

I was afraid that was the case. I might just stick with lion for now Because i have made the USB flash drive installer from when i put lion on my macbook. I was going to bring my Macbook to are local library and download ML from the mac app store because they have free fast wi-fi (40+Mbps) were mine is only 1Mbps and it will take half a day to download but i guess that is not going to work and i don't think they would be to happy if i bring in my macpro :D.

Mail Apple 20 bucks and torrent it?

Yah i don't think that is a good idea who know's what someone might have put in it?
