Basically title. Specially with ProMotion, anyone know if sidecar is able to be used as a 120hz monitor for gaming with a MBPs lid closed?

Yeah just saw a post on reddit not 60 secs after I asked lol, someone said it's even having issues staying at 60hz. Bummer.

Yep. It's encoding a video stream, transmitting it, decoding it, capturing input, sending input back if any received, repeat. It's not a direct display stream; It's essentially video streaming to the device, similar to concepts like GeForce Now or Steam Link. This time implemented on an OS level, but still no different in concept.

Plus, most Macs wouldn't be able to play most games at those super high frame rates anyhow.

Most popular games these days run just fine at 120hz imo. LoL, WoW, DOTA, TFT, plenty of popular games I can hit over 200fps on. But yeah if it’s a stream that’s different.
