Can you get AC+ after the initial 3yr?

After your 3yr AC+ runs out, can you then get it monthly/annually? I’m in UK. I know last time had a Mac you couldn’t extend, but there is now an option, on initial buying it, for “annual until cancelled”

Just wondering if you can continue after the 3yr to then get annual cover.

This document says that you can, within 30 days of the initial contract completing (it says that it is applicable to the UK). In my case the AppleCare+ on my M1 iPad Pro recently ran out and I converted to a monthly plan.
