Hi,

I am working with the Keynote from the MacWorld 2007. There is one "joke" I don't get. It is at about 08:30, there is a cover flow from the new movies that Paramount offers via iTunes. When the "Star Trek II" cover comes up, there is laugther in the audience, even before Steve says anything? Why?

Then he makes a comment and says "all 6 Star Trek movies", there is laugther again, I guess this laugther is because there are more than 6 movies. But since I don't know why the laugh only at the cover I might be wrong here or miss the actual punch line.

Can you help me out?

The only clue I have has is the Project Star Trek from Apple, but even with that I can't see the relation from laughing at the cover of a movie...

any help is really appreciated

hey, come on, the whole audience laughed, so it must be quite a known "joke" in american Apple community.

The whole mention of 6 movies refers to the fact that the first 6 were from the original series, and the next 4 were based on The Next Generation series. Many die-hard trekkies refuse to acknowledge the most recent 4 as true Star Trek movies. As for me - I'm waiting for a Voyager film and NOT looking forward to the sure-to-be bomb of a prequel coming out later this year. The end. :p
