On a MacBook Pro, is it possible to use keys F1-5 for volume and brightness and keys F9-12 for expose without having to press the fn key? So basically, can you only invert the first 5 function keys?

Not that I'm aware of...a lot of people want to set things up like this (myself included), but I haven't seen a good solution for it.

This is precisely what I'd like to do... I basically want the same setup as my old PowerBook as I'm not bothered about being able to control the backlit keyboard brightness etc but want to use the F9 & 10 keys for Expose without having to press Fn as well. I haven't found the solution yet though!

I definitely would like to know if anyone's made progress with this (expose, but keeping the volume/screen brightness). Is there a key remapper out there?

It worked great on my old ibook dual usb because it had the brightness, etc. where it was, but without the (beloved?) backlit keyboard, f9-11 went to expose.
