Before iOS 15, I could FaceTime myself from one device to another using the same AppleID and it would work fine. After updating to iOS 15 that no longer works. I see a “tap to join“ button in FaceTime on my other devices, but that doesn’t work. The button does nothing.

The only way I’ve found to get this to work is to create a FaceTime link and then use that to open FaceTime on both devices. When I do that though, FaceTime thinks the devices are on different accounts.

Am I missing something or was the option to have multiple devices with the same Apple ID removed?

Edit:

I figured it out, you have to FaceTime using the iCloud Apple ID email as opposed to the phone number. Not sure why though.
