hey,

i want one of these things, obviously.... but might be going abroad for about six months at some point.

is it possible to pause the cellular contract? so that while i am out of the country i do not have to pay for a phone that i will not be using, and then when i get back i can pick up where i left off?

thanks,
r.

I believe you can do what they call a freeze on the contract. Not sure though. Call AT&T and ask them about it.

I actually had the same question, so I called AT&T yesterday to ask about it. The rep told me that you could pause a contract for up to 5 months and that you are able to pause it multiple times if needed. The only thing, was that when the contract is paused it does not count for part of your 2 year contract agreement. The agreement resumes when you unfreeze your contract.
