Can You Pay, But Pick Up?

I prefer this because i reserved an ipad but it didnt let me pay :|
and then i ordered one for shipping, but dont wanna wait for fed ex/ ups
i would like to pick it up from the store?
is that possible. (main reason being i wanna pay now just so i wont have to keep saving :D)

Oh, wow, I guess I misunderstood the whole Reserve thing. I figured that in order to reserve an iPad, you would have to prepay for it.

Why wouldn't it work that way?

Without having to pay for it, someone could start reserving a whole bunch of them and not pick them up, which would make them unavailable all day on April 3rd.....
 
When one reserves an iPad for pick up at the store, no funds are charged at this point, but the individual is told that they will need to pick up the iPad between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on April 3rd; if they fail to do, then their reservation is no longer good and anyone who comes along can get the iPad instead.

Your reservation is associated with your Apple ID, so I assume they limit the number that a single ID can reserve.
