Can you recommend a game?

I am helping out a member of my family far away from home for a while as they recover from a bad auto accident. I would like to know if anyone can recommend a game I could play to pass the time when things aren't very busy around here.

Free games are preferred but I will pay for a game if its highly recommended enough. Typically I like FPS but RTS games will work great too. I would like to eliminate some titles that I have already played and beaten (AOE 2 and 3, Rise of Nations and Rise of Legends) on the PC.

If you don't mind playing demos, you could try Defcon, Redline, and SketchFighter.

Any blizzard game works well.

Especially WoW if you want to waste days, and possibly even months away.
