Can you remove the Stand on a 2018 21in iMac?

I would like to know if I can put a VESA mount on the back and remove the stand.
May not be a 2018 iMac, But it is the most recent release.

I did. Couldn’t find much. They were all older models. Just want to make sure before I buy a mount.

You'd have to totally disassemble the inside of the computer to remove the stand and somehow get Apple's VESA mount parts and install them. If you don't already have the computer you can buy one that's already set up for VESA direct from Apple.

well good luck with opening up a newer mac. Since I own it already I guess thats not an option. Thats too bad.

You can install a vesa mount while keeping the “foot”. Basically you get a little shelf under the computer for things such as a SuperDrive or usb hard drive.

I searched the web and had no problem discovering that the 2019 iMacs cannot be converted to VESA. You have to buy them built that way.
