Can you safely delete server.app in Mavericks?

I bought a Mac Mini server a couple years ago, and I never actually use server.app. Is it safe to delete this like any other app?

App Store is telling me "Server can’t be installed on “Mac HD” because the version of OS X is too new. The update is to 2.2.4, and I'm running Mavericks.

yep delete away mate.

the app store is telling you this because Mavericks comes with a new server app which you have to buy, and the old one is not compatible.
