iPad Pro Can you set the default Home Screen (with apps icons, access to control center etc) on the external monitor ?

I tried my iPad Pro on an external monitor today for the first time and overall I like it but one thing that really bugs me is I can’t seems to set my external monitor as the primary screen to show the Home Screen with icons, widgets and be able to bring the control center or make a system wide research. Is there a way to set it to the external monitor without having to turn on the mirroring mode? This is a big issue for me and just for that alone make the whole experience not very productive.
