Can you sort apps through itunes 9 without 3.1?

I can't seem to find a way to organize my apps. I have itunes 9 and haven't upgraded to 3.1 because I don't want to lose tethering. Is there a setting that I have to choose to be able to organize apps in itunes or am I forced to upgrade to 3.1?

No, app organization requires iTunes 9 and iPhone OS 3.1(1).

iTunes 9 with iPhone 3.0.1 - App Organization?

I am wondering is there a way to use iTunes 9 app organization with iPhone OS 3.0.1? - I am not going to be upgrading anytime soon due to the dead simple tethering with 3.0 - even though I own a copy of NetShare.

But I was wondering if the App Organization was exclusive to the 3.1 OS?

No. App organization in iTunes requires iTunes 9 and iPhone OS 3.1.(1)

Oh well - not a big deal - would have loved to have it but I guess I'll upgrade my 2G iPhone to the 3.1 and play around with it

It's crap anyway. I have a 26" monitor yet it only display in a fraction of the screen area and forces me to scroll to see the other iphone screens.

It's no easier to organize your app positions than on the iphone itself.

Why can't you drag the apps from the smaller screens rather than the one big one. It just seems like a waste of space to me.
