Tap Download and Install
No. Apple stopped signing 5.1.1 completely and totally on September 22nd.Apparently Apple is still signing 5.1.1 installation providing you downloaded it on a computer and manually install via itunes
Where do you get this idea from? Pretty sure no. Developer devices don't get any sort of special treatment when it comes to iOS downgrades. If you are a developer, you can download iOS 5.1.1 to your computer, then restore ur phone with it, by option + left click

Is this an old bootrom 3GS? There is a method of starting the restore, allowing it to go all the way until it hits the error message, unplug it immediately, close iTunes, plug it back in, and use a method (like TinyUmbrella to kick it out of recovery. I'll see if I can find the article that explains it exactly, as what I just described is actually from memory.I am going to restore 3GS to factory settings but iTunes only gives an option to iOS 6 so is there any way to get iOS 5.1.1?
So in a nutshell then, I'm stuck with 5.0.1 until I am prepared to make the switch to 6. Well thankyou so much, Apple. The more time goes by, the more I hate you.
Thanks for your reply
