Almost 15 years ago I created a bunch of iMovies of old family video. I can not upgrade my movies to the latest version of iMovie. I did create *.mov files that can be played with quicktime 7. I downloaded it to my 2012 mbp running sierra. The problem is I need the quicktime 7 pro version to convert the files into something I play them on now. I have been looking this AM on the net where I can get it with no luck. My fall back will be import the clips into latest move and re-create the movies. Any help would be appreciated.

A few years ago, I called Apple Support to ask how to recover my Qt7Pro license key.

The support tech spent about half an hour tying to figure out how to get it, then told me to just pirate a cracked copy. 🤣

There are also third-party video conversion utilities including open source ones that are completely free, such as Handbrake.

Thanks for quick response. I still have all the clips from the old iMovie it looks like I can update them and try to redo the video in the new iMovie
