iPhone Can you still get these with jailbroken iOS 7?

I'm currently running a jailbroken iPhone 4S on iOS 5.1.1.

I never wanted to 'upgrade' to iOS6. I'm not a huge fan of the look of iOS7 but i will inevitably have to 'upgrade' to the new look one day. More & more of my apps now can't be updated & some games not even played because i'm still on 5.1.1. I've held back because i didn't want to lose my jailbreak & tweaks.

I don't have many tweaks but i like the ones i do have...

* 5 icon dock at the bottom.
* Barrel - so that i can change the way the home screen scrolls
* BytaFont - Currently have the "Folks" font set for everything. Nice & simple.
* iFile
* The tweak where Safari can open up more than 8 pages. (Tab+?)
* No Update
* NoNewsIsGoodNews
* SMS Timestamps - i would be lost without this hack
* Software Update Killer


Until last night i didn't even know there was an iOS7 jailbreak. I'm considering 'upgrading' to iOS7, but only if i can jailbreak & it also depends how many of the above hacks work on iOS7 jailbroken iPhone 4S.

So, how many of those hacks work on jailbroken iOS7? Would be even better with screenshot proof if possible.

I have most of those on iOS 7 on my 5S. I have infinidock and can put as many icons on my dock as I want.

No idea about iOS 7, but all of the tweaks you mention except for this one which I am unsure of because I do not use Safari: * The tweak where Safari can open up more than 8 pages. (Tab+?) have been available for over a year for iOS 6.

The only ones I'm unsure of are five icon dock, your specific font and tab+.

The other things are either updated or can be achieved through things like flex2 or springtomize3.

I know flex2 has patches for unlimited safari tabs, SMS timestamps and to hide the newsstand. You don't actually need the software update killers because jail breaking with evasi0n blocks your device from discovering new updates and downloading them from what I understand.

How do i know if i have a 64 bit chip or not?


And how is this new jailbreaking? I last jailbroke probably about 2 years ago using redsn0w. I believe that's not what is used these days? Is it easy for a novice like me? There good step-by-step idiot proof guides around?

Oh i should also ask - i believe the latest version is 7.0.6?

Can this be jailbroken? And is there any idea when this is likely to be replaces/surpassed? (as in, if i'm going to jailbreak, do i need to do it ASAP?)

That's easy. If you have a 5s you have a 64 bit chip. If you have anything else – you don't.

Yes to all of them (the only tweak i'm not sure is "No Update" because I don't use it)
Also, in iOS7 you can put Newsstand in a folder and the Messages app has timestamps built in.

The only two I'm not sure is on ios7 is the software killer, and nonews. Everything else is available on ios7.
 
Sweet. I'll look at upgrading/jailbreaking when i get home from work tomorrow then.

Just hope it doesn't goose my phone, or make the battery drain lots or something else negative.
 
I was very skeptical of the ios7 update because I hated the looks of it, but I have to admit this is my most fun jailbreak yet. The look of ios7 grows on you.

Lol I hated it at first. On my iPhone 5 I was able to get emphasize to work so it wasn't bad at all, I had all the "buttons" text to be black so it was just all black and white. For some reason it won't work on my 5s so I've just learned to deal with the red and blues. It's not that big of a deal to me anymore. I'm used to it now.

yes, you'll need bytafont 2 for iOS 7 though and make sure your font has been ported for iOS 7 compatibility

It certainly does

I've just thought of something though - is there a way to pull the .ipa files off the phone for the apps? So i can put them on to my PC & have them individually backed up?

In iTunes, file -> devices -> transfer purchases
 
Can you still get these with jailbroken iOS 7?

I can say all of your tweaks in iOS 5 have been there for iOS7, and try sprintomize 3 (for iOS7), it does almost half of tweaks that you've mentioned...

and I can say I kinda liked iOS7 jailbreak and tweaks, since iOS6 no more complicated jailbreak tools, because you have evasi0n...just a few click and voila...your iPhone jailbroken
