I'm trying to decide whether to sign to an Apple developer account on my personal Apple ID or whether I should do it on a business email address? Can I switch the account associated with an app if it works out well?

Apparently there is an Apple supported process to transfer an app from one vendor to another. Used if you sell your app to another software developer. I believe that’s also used to allow the new party to use the same bundle id. They would want that to allow current users to continue to update the app and keep them as users/clients.

If there are ever problems with the app, you could end up with your personal account blocked. Best to setup a separate account specifically for the app.
