Anyone figure out how to allow MobileMe to sync just certain groups from the Address book to the iphone?

I don't like having my entire desktop address book on my iPhone, so I've set up a "cell group".. Would be cool if i could just use MobileMe to sync with iphone, but allow my full desktop version to sync to MobileMe.

I'm I just dreaming?

Also, we're on a network version of iCal, but can only get my local calendar to sync with MobileMe. Sounds like a similar issue.

Thanks.

You can select which groups are synced to your iPhone by connecting the phone to iTunes. Once you do that you can select one of the tabs at the top (in iTunes) and tell it which groups you want on your phone. Don't have my phone right here or I would tell you which tab it is.... You will see it.

This is actually not correct. When you set up syncing with Mobile Me, when you plug your iphone in and iTunes opens up on the Info tab all you get now is this...

"Your contacts are being pushed to your iPhone over the air from MobileMe."

You can't select which groups you want if you are using the over the air syncing.

It is correct. First, turn off push, pick your groups, turn push back on...
I have done this with my wife's phone since mobileme came out...

Yes, you can pick which groups to physically sync with iTunes.
No, you cannot choose which groups to "push" with MobileMe.

It's either/or.

You'd think Apple would have allowed OTA sync of certain AB groups by now. I knew that was a limitation 2 years ago, but expected it to be resolved with iCloud. Correct me if in fact it was and I'm missing it.
