Hey guys.

So I have my mom's iphone sync'd to Windows Contacts (vista). Now my sisters iphone is 1.0 firmware. I want to back up her contacts before I update her firmware.

So I took off all my mom's contacts from windows contacts and put them in a separate folder. But i'm scared if I sync my sisters iphone contacts to Windows Contacts that her contacts will sync to nothing. Since there are no contacts in windows contacts...

can someone help me with this.. she'll be pissed if I lose all her contacts...

It is possible as I had to do this with my wife and I's iPhones.

I used outlook though and created a MY CONTACTS and WIFE CONTACTS in the contacts folder.

Then when I plugged in each phone, under the information tab at the top where there is the music, application etc went in and selected sync with outlook then the specific set of contacts.

No issues with loosing contacts for either if us so far.

I hope that helps even though it's a different program to what you're using.

when you open up iTunes, hold the shift key. That will bring up a prompt, to create or load a new library. This is how i sync two iPhones and two iPods to one computer. Good luck man

Why not just create a new user account on the computer for your sister? It's a good idea to have separate user accounts on a shared computer anyway...
