So i'm curious - I know there is a built in mic for the mbp - but for gaming (it's not that good - I know .. nerdy moment)...

so I head a headset mic and I want to be able to use the mic on my headset...is that possible? the headset has two plug ins (one for the head phones and one for the mic) but i'm not sure where to plug the mic plug in....I see there is a plug-in right next to the head phone jack...but it doesn't look like it's for ....its called like "audio in/optical digital audio in port" or something..?

After plugging it into that "unfamiliar" plugin I open I movie and do a "test" recording to see if the headset it working but it seems to be feeding off the built in mic....any ideas? thanks so much!

I used a mic headset last night for bf2. It works great.
