Can you use Ad Blockers on iOS in third party browser apps ?

Pretty sure that extensions that work with Safari also work with those, since all browsers on iOS use Safari as the back-end.

No you can't. The ad-blockers only work with Safari. You do have those WiFi only ad lockers which work with everything including apps but they work only on wifi.

I remember when Ad Guard use to be able to block ads system wide on WiFi and 4G LTE!

You do have an IPA of the app somewhere on the internet if you do some digging around if you want to sideload the app though.

That is true but then you got to sign it ever 7 days. Which sucks.

I have it because I downloaded the last good version of AdGuard Pro before it updated from my iPad and iPhone.

If there was a way to sideload forever then maybe but then you have to worry about the app updating plus breaking because of getting old.

This app seems to have gotten past Apple's certification process. If you purchase the Pro version it supposedly blocks all ads on cellular. Haven't tried it myself though although should be safe to buy with Apple's refund policies.

The apps from disconnect.me work device wide, and while they aren’t ad blockers as such, as they block trackers they do block pretty much all adverts. I have tried both the Pro, and Premium apps (premium adds a secure VPN), and both work really well.

I use AdBlock by Futuremind and it works really really well, blocks everything system wide over wifi or LTE. It makes a fake VPN connection on your phone that blocks ads but lets everything else through. Only caveat is I find myself needing to toggle it on/off a few times a week. Also, your status bar will perpetually show "vpn"

Twitter and Apollo (Reddit app) are two that come to mind that use Safari for in-app browsing, therefore they respect any Safari ad blockers that you're using
