does it have to be jailbroken? the app store does not seem to have any app to watch tv. nor cydia. and the worst part is that i see every phone. even the cheap ones. being able to broadcast some channels on them. so why iphone cant? its the same with the mms. it is disapointing.

The other phones can do it for a premium and most of them are clips or something special like that. I'm pretty sure the cool new phone services can stream complete shows.. don't really know.

There's a app in the app store that just came out called iTV. It's free:

As of right now, all it does is tell you what's on TV: a.k.a TV Guide
You can also check out movie trailers and show previews

The awesomely amazing part is the future of the app will allow you to watch tv. So get it while it's free and hopefully the next version will be free to.

Hope this helps out.

I think that once you get an app the updates are free. I got air sharing when it was free and now it's $6.99 but I can still update it for free.
