Canadian Movie Rentals & 48 hour viewing period??

So Apple announced that Canada (and the UK) now have movies for rent or purchase.

What I found interesting was it says that users have 48 hours to watch the movie... is that new? Wasn't it 24 hours before?

As a Canadian, I am excited that the value of my AppleTV (figuratively, not literally) just went way up!

It would be weird if Canada AND the UK both had 48 hours and the US didn't.. usually it's the US who gets the better deal in terms of Apple products.

Yeah exactly, that's what I was referring too. It seems that most of the time the US gets the better deal with most of Apple's products... rightfully so, I'm not complaining, but the US usually gets products first, has better prices and has more options on how to use those products. So it's weird that in this case it seems that the UK and Canada have the better deal.
