Some Apple Stores are currently offering the 24" iMac at a discount but I can't even remember what they were originally selling at. Does anyone remember how much the 24" 2.93GHz iMac was going for in Canada before last Tuesday and the new iMacs were released?

U.S.A. Canada
iMac 20" 2.40 GHz 1,199.00 1,299.00
iMac 20" 2.66 GHz 1,499.00 1,599.00
iMac 24" 2.80 GHz 1,799.00 1,899.00
iMac 24" 3.06 GHz 2,199.00 2,299.00

I think it was these prices

There was no such thing as 2.4...

It was:
2.66GHz $1399
2.66GHz $
2.93GHz $
3.06GHz $2299

I don't remember the price of the 2.93, but if I remember correctly, it was around $1900. They have the old prices on the same sheet as they have the new (discounted) prices.

Thanks M8, for catching that

I thought it was $1,899, too. But I wasn't sure. Some places online have said $2,099. Any way to know for sure?

Nobody know for sure?

The Canadian Education store was $2099.
I know for sure because I saved my configuration so I could compare the upgrades.
I believe that the education discount is ~10% so that would make it $2299.
However don't forget these prices were artificially high because when they were released the Canadian dollar was much lower. The same day the new iMacs were released the exchange rate was adjusted meaning you save another 10%, so if they were on sale today the 2.93GHz iMac would actually be $2099 for general public.

I believe it was...

20" 2.66 $1399
24" 2.66 $1799
24" 2.93 $2099
24" 3.06 $2599

There was a whole bunch of 24" referb 2.66Ghz/24" for $1199 couple days ago ;)

I am lucky enough to sell my old one for $1500 locally!

The 24" 2.66 & 2.93 were $1799 & $2099 respectively. I put them in a spreadsheet for decision purposes but ended up waiting based on the MacRumors new model forecasts - which happened to be bang on. I'm going for the base 27" - looked at them in a store today. Of course, I was probably more productive on a 9" screen 512k Fat Mac than I will be on this one - but oooh that glorious screen.

I found an old spreadsheet, where I copied down the early 2009 iMac prices in the US:
$1'199 for 20" / 2.66GHz / 2GB / 9400M / 320GB

$1'499 for 24" / 2.66GHz / 4GB / 9400M / 640GB

$1'799 for 24" / 2.93GHz / 4GB / GT120 / 640GB

$2'199 for 24" / 3.06GHz / 4GB / GT130 / 1TB
