Hey guys,

I ordered a 64GB 3G Ipad with a case on apple online friday, this morning I checked and a few Best buys in the area have them. They aren't open so I have to call and confirm however, if they do would apple let me cancel the order? They shipped my case separately from the ipad and I got it yesterday. Even though they shipped my case and technically its on the same order?

Go onto the Apple Store website, select the Account menu and click on Order Status. Enter your user name and password to bring up your orders. Click on View Order Details. If the order includes a Cancel Items option, you will be able to cancel it.

Go to www.apple.com/orderstatus in there you can cancel individual items.

Did you order the Apple case and they already shipped it?!

Yes and i received it yesterday, thats why Im thinking they may not let me cancel it because its on the same order...if the case didn't ship i'd feel more comfortable with it...but im not sure, and I dont wanna try until I get an ipad in my hands...

Just go to your account and check. If the option is available then do it. Safest option is first go to Bestbuy and buy ipad, then go home and try to cancel. If cancel isn't available (only happens once its "prepared for shipment") then return ipad to bestbuy and wait for the ipad to arrive from Apple. Seriously, this is simple stuff.

It won't matter if the case already came, items are individually cancellable up to the time they are prepared for shipment.

As long as an individual item has not been shipped , you can cancel it. It doesn't matter if part of the order has been shipped already. I actually did the exact opposite, they shipped my iPad and I canceled the case.

I was able to call ahead to the Apple store I was an hour away from (heading back from the parent's house) and canceled my internet order on the way. Thank goodness they still had them in stock, otherwise I would've just ordered it again and waited even longer..

Edit: sorry, this was for my iPad case order, but I'd think the same rules would apply, just so long as you cancel it before it ships you should be fine.

Well there goes that theory anyways, I just called BB and they said no they didn't have any despite the website saying they do. I'm skeptical because they didn't even check they just said no they don't. I told them the website says they do, and they told me to order off of the website. I said Apple products are only offered in store at best buy....they didn't even know that.....

I wouldn't believe everything best buy says.
I too went this route, called them and they said non in stock.
Me, being the skeptical type, went anyway to check... guess what I came home with.

Yes, two are 64GB + 3G, the other a 32GB.
Oh, and it took speaking to four different employees to figure out they did have them in stock. :)

I would go to BB or when you call ask to talk to their Apple Specialist. I was in the store and told they didn't have any. I then pointed to a man walking around with one and asked how he got it. They were stumped. Ended up they did have them, just no one but the Apple guy knew. Only had WiFi and I need 3G though.

I wonder if Best Buy's have been getting some stock in the past day or so. I've been checking religiously for 64GB 3G iPads, and this is the first day that anyone had them in stock around me.

Too bad I am using Apple's Credit Card to get six month deferred interest financing on the iPad.... I have to purchase from Apple's Website or an Apple Store... guess that means I can't drive the hour and a half to get my iPad today :(
