cancel my unused barclay card?

i had recently applied for apple financing and the card came but i havent even setup the card and i dont plan on using it so if i cancel it will it affect my credit score? or are there any drawbacks.

I'm not an expert but from past experience when i have closed a CC my credit score went down a few points. Nothing significant
