Just wanted to remind everyone (if you care) that you can call Apple and cancel the AppleCare plan for the phones that you will be trading in tomorrow. I just cancelled my AppleCare plan for the iPhone 12 Pro that I will be trading in tomorrow and was refunded around $106.

I pay monthly for AppleCare plus theft and loss. Once they accept the trade in I’ll cancel. I will look at how much it cost for paying it all at once but I definitely want the theft and loss part. It’s cheaper than getting insurance through my carrier and so much better if something breaks

I just call the general Apple number and they usually transfer me to a different specialist to take care of Apple care. I've done this 2 times to cancel mine on the 11 PM and 12 PM.

Yes as long as the device is paid off. i think they won’t let you enroll in the program in the future if you cancel it.

Always do this every year. For some reason I still haven't been able to do this this year. Apple says trade in still in progress while I've been using the 13PM since 9/24.

That shouldn’t be a problem with cancelling it.

At the time of the call, my phone was already factory reset with Find my iPhone off. All I was asked the agreement number for the AppleCare+.

Spent an hour talking to 3 apple reps on the phone they don’t know why I haven’t gotten my refund. Then they say it’s CITIZENS ONE who will give the refund via check and transfer me to them. Then citizens one tells me no it will show on my Apple Card even though apple just told me it wouldn’t. Then she comes back and says “even though the email you got says it will be 4 days the iPhone launch has been so successful that we are behind on payments. It might take 30 days before you see the refund show up”.

Funny how when you owe them money they want it immediately but when they owe you money it’s at their luxury.

Thanks didn't even know I could do this. Luckily I didn't need my agreement number (deleted receipt as I was backing up the receipt for the new phone). Getting 80% back (purchaced start of June this year)!
