I recently had to cancel my MobileMe service, however a dialog box opens every 5-10 minutes on my laptop that tells me my username and password are incorrect. How can I stop this from happening? I've gone into the MobileMe under System Preferences to clear out any stored information there. I've also gone into my Keychain Access and deleted anything that references MobileMe. I've removed all MobileMe calendars, email accounts, and contacts from my iPhone. Any other thoughts?

Have you disabled syncing in the MobileMe preferences? Have you disabled iDisk syncing? Are you publishing MobileMe galleries from iPhoto? Are you publishing calenders to MobileMe for sharing? An iWeb site? Any programs automatically backup to your iDisk (Quicken)?

Somewhere over the rainbow
I have the same problem as the OP. After reading the post above, I realised I did still have calenders that were trying to publish. I tried to 'unpublish' them, but all I get is a message that they can't be unpublished, and that I should make sure my user name and password are correct. But since I didn't renew my account, mobileme will of course not accept my log on.

The problem I have with MobileMe is on my iPhone.

Can't get email. Keeps coming up with a box saying
there is no password for my account even though
I have put it in several times.

Have even removed and reinstalled MobileMe on
my iPhone a handful of times and keep getting the
same error.
