Cannot change permissions

Hello,

I have an external backup disk and I can't change the read/write permissions. It was working great with SL but now I have read privileges only. Any idea?

- The DS user is the admin and is located in the "staff" group.
- I plugged in another external drive and it is working good, the "staff" group has read/write privileges allowed.
- All files in this drive appear as "Locked" when opened.

PS.: I already tried opening the lock, but the system does not allow me to change anything.

Yeah! And....It worked!!!

How would you explain that? Is it a Lion issue or just and old issue? Never had that before.

Happens to me once in a while. Old issue.

A good friend of mine taught me that a lot of issues are cured with a reboot.
