Both the phone and the Mac keep on trying to pair but they just wouldn't (they both use the same iCloud account and they're on the same wifi network) ... I just wanted to try answering my phone from the Mac : anyone has the same problem or a clue ?

Isn't that feature like SMS on IOS 8.1? Unless that is what you are running. But you may have to wait until monday.
I knew SMS would work only with iOS 8.1, but I understood that the answering function was already enabled (heard of many people already using it since this morning, included a friend of mine that just upgraded to Yosemite ... and he never used any Beta version of iOS or OS X !
