Cannot connect to any wireless network

Ok. Everytime I try to join any wireless network I get an unable to connect to wireless network message. I have tried many different networks, my home network, Hampton inns network, public non secured networks, every type of network I could think of. I tried resetting my network settings and forgetting every network, and nothing works. I have an iPhone 3G with version 4.0.0. Any suggestions before I goto apple store tomorrow?
