Hi, I have iPhone 6S+ and an iPad next to each other. When I searched in the app store from my phone, it kept giving me "Cannot Connect to App Store". However, when I tried the same thing from my iPad, there was no problem. What is wrong here?

That's weird. If you can open a webpage so you verify it has a connection to the internet the next thing I would look for is updates available. Maybe the version of the App Store on the iPhone is outdated.

I found this article and it has some tips

Glitch. Have you tried updating your OS?

Hope Apple does not consider my phone to be old and wants me to buy a new one to access the app store.

@russell_314

That screenshot does not sound good as they are trying to make us buy new devices.

I am running 15.7.5. The "Cannot Connect to App Store" problem has been around for awhile. Even WiFi is working and I can access the internet from my phone, sometimes I still get this problem.

As for me I am getting this message on several iPhones but not my iPad.
@StellaFudge indicated iOS11 and one would assume any OLDER iOS as well.

What I found was that with some of my iPhones (5) the APP store app would work on my 2.4g wi-fi but not the 5g wi-fi - OR - vice versa.

Date and time are set correctly on the iPhone.
No VPN or proxy (e.g. via adblocker) is used.
Both WLan and cellular work otherwise - e.g. Safari opens Apple.com.
Your settings allow you to connect to the App Store and install, update, or purchase apps, location is on.
The App Store servers are up and running, your cleared the App Store cache and have the network and cellular connections resetted - all as recommended by @russell_314.

Well then,

turn off Wifi and Bluetooth, put the iPhone in airplane mode.
open Settings>General>Date & Time. Turn automatic date and time setting off and set the data manually to one year in the future, e.g. 20th of july 2024. Wait 5 minutes.
Restart the iPhone.

Turn Wifi and Bluetooth on. Keep cellular still off/air plane mode on. Set the date manually to one week in the future, e.g. 28th of july 2023. Wait 5 minutes.
Restart.

Turn on Wifi, Bluetooth, but keep airplane mode still on.
Set the DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 1.1.1.2.
Set your date to automatic and wait till the correct date is set. Open the App Store. If you get the “cant connect”-error, delete the App Store cache (tap rapidly 10 times on one of the lower 5 icons). Close the App Store. Turn off airplane mode. Reopen App Store.
