I just installed OSX 10.12.3 on my mid 2012 MBP. There's a folder called Incompatible Software and inside libgutenprint.2.0.3.dylib, which I cannot delete.

The error I get is: “libgutenprint.2.0.3.dylib” can’t be modified or deleted because it’s required by macOS.

Any idea how to get rid of this file? If it helps, I'm fairly good following instructions especially if it involves Terminal.

Just figured a way. Boot from an external OSX 10.11.6 drive. Then delete the file from Sierra drive. Saves me from having to disable SIP to remove it.

I know this is an old thread, but I just had this same issue upgrading to MacOS High Sierra. FYI, to remove it all you need to do is boot into Recovery Mode (CMD+R) and use terminal to remove the folder.
