I have:

- newest iPhoto version (9.2.2)
- completely fresh iPhone 4S with iOS 5.1
- deleted the whole photostream on icloud.com

When I delete a photo in iPhoto (Photostream), the photo is only deleted locally. I have to manually delete the photo in my iPhone in the Photostream section.

When I delete a photo on my iPhone (Photostream), the photo is deleted from the iPhone but it's still in iPhoto.

I think this is NOT the sense of a cloud. Is this a bug? Does anyone knows a workaround? When I delete a photo in the cloud, it should delete from EVERY device also. I think THIS the sense of a cloud.

Does this happen with photos you took recently? Photos are only stored/synced with iCloud for 30 days. After that, only the local copy is stored on your devices.

This could potentially help, although if it's happening with photos you've taken since you've been running 5.1 then potentially not.

You could always also try signing into iCloud, click the little question mark in the top right, go to photo stream on the sidebar of the popup that should come up, and then click Reset Photo Stream.
