Cannot e-mail to myself

I have been trying to e-mail myself things, but apparently Yahoo! will not allow it! Anybody had this problem before and found a solution? Getting a MobileMe account at this time is not an option, so am I stuck with writing and using apps on the iPad but not being able to transfer them to my MacBook Pro?

I don't use Yahoo, but GMail is free... You could set up an account just for that purpose.

Reason I still have my yahoo email is because I have had it for over 15 years...
