I downloaded the ToDoist app on my iOS14 iPhone, but I cannot find the icon on any of my screens (none are hidden), and also not in the app drawer. Also does not show up in my available Widgets list. But it shows up when I search and I can open the app. Is there some way the app may be hidden from view?

Do you have any app folders that it may have gotten moved into by mistake? I don't mean the App Library screens, but regular app folders.

I repeatedly opened every folder and it is not there. I had deleted the app a week ago and reinstalled today. It showed up okay when first installed but not when installed the second time.

Possible you removed it from your home screens but it still lives in the App Library?

I scoured every folder and all apps in the App folder. However, it does show up in the list view of the App Drawer. I was able to drag it from the list onto one of my screens. It still does not show an icon in the App Drawer. It seems that I must be missing it, but I have looked for the icon for more than one half hour. Very strange.

Is it in the "recently added" section of the App Library?

This may or may not be obvious, but the folders shown in the App Library have more apps than initially shown. You need to tap on the smaller icons to open the folder to see all of them.

If it was installed after iOS 14 then it may not have been added to the home screen.

Restart your device. This has happened to me a few times when I add an app to the App Library and it just doesn’t show up in a folder until I restart the device.

Make sure you have the setting enabled to add apps to the homescreen.

It should show as a valid homescreen widget, assuming (a) you've run the app at least once and (b) it actually has iOS 14 sdtyle widgets.

The same thing happens to me. I download an app and it’s not in my Home Screen, also not in my App Library under recently added. I am able to find it in Search but it doesn’t say that it’s in any folder and I can’t find it anywhere else. I’ve rebooted my phone multiple times, and have 14.0.1 installed.

I only could find it in the App Library list view (by mistake, actually, not knowing how I got to the list view). I was then able to drag it from the list view to the home screen. After I did that and a reboot of the phone it started showing up appropriately in the Library.
