Have an iPhone 13 Pro, updated to the latest 17.1.2 iOS.

Today out of the blue I noticed that I wasn't getting any emails on my iPhone. When I click on the details message, I get the "Cannot Get Mail" error message saying that I have to enter my password for the account which an Apple account (Name@me.com).

Settings - Mail - Accounts - Click on account with error message

Now what? Where do I enter my password? My options are : Personal Information, Sign in & Security, and iCloud. But my iCloud option is greyed out.

Any suggestions ?

If this is your primary Apple ID, then Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Mail switch it off, wait until it’s done (email account is gone from Mail app), restart iPhone completely (hold side button + Volume Down then “Slide to power off”; restart with side button once fully shut down), the re-activate iCloud Mail.

If it’s NOT your Apple ID account (I.e. you’re signed into a second account to get this email) - delete the account completely and then re-add it.

hey thanks for the response. it was something even more embarrassing and i wish i was making this up -

iCloud had come out with new terms and agreement, which i didn't click agree. yeah, as soon as i clicked agree to terms, like magic all was good again.
