Cannot hear ringing when calling out nor answering party voice.

3 G iphone. I cannot hear ring sound when calling out. When call answered, I cannot hear the other party though they can hear me. With head phones plugged in, I can hear both ways and rings tones. When on speaker phone, I can hear other party but my voice is garbled on the other end. Is this a hardware prob?

Sounds like it.. Try to restore.. if that doesn't fix it, make an appt with a genius.
