Trying to follow this tutorial

Stuck at step 5.

When I run the option for bootable installer it begins patching. It takes a few moments to load and then I get the attached error message.

Reformat the USB stick using the GUID partition map, not Master Boot Record (Macs us GUID. PCs use MBR). Then start over from the instructions.

It was done as an HSF+ volume shown in attachment 916413. I solved the running bootable installer and unmounting issue by using two USBs. One USB to host the catalina installer and the other to target for creation of the bootable install.

Hi all,

Just tried running @dosdude1 Catalina patch - Im using a MP 3,1 running Mojave (per Dosdude1 patch) and after following all steps and getting to apply post install patches I get a message saying "There's no valid install of catalina on the selected drive..." but there is... Would you recommend starting from the beginning and following all steps again?..
