I just want to play the new song I bought yesterday. I can't believe I'm having so much trouble.

Ok, please don't laugh because I have a PC. I'm saving for an iMac, but I'm poor!

I had to reinstall Windows XP recently and have not had ipod software since. I've just been using an external adaptor to recharge my old ipod shuffle (the long shape bought in 2005).

I put the CD I got with the ipod in, and it nearly completed installation, then it told me "installation cannot continue" as I have a later version of itunes already installed.

I rang the ipod helpline and was told I'd have to reformat my ipod but he wanted 35.00 GBP just to tell me how.

Q1. Do I have to uninstall itunes? Then try the CD again?

Q2. If so, how do I do this?

Q3. How do I reformat my ipod shuffle, please?

Thank you
