Specs: MacBook Air / Early 2014
Installed Aura SSD Upgrade Kit last year

Problem: I have 11.2.3 Big Sur installed but cannot get the recent update to install. It downloads but then seems to stall after 20 minutes. It cannot update.

Is this because of the Aura SSD card? If so, what should I do now? Should I go back in time to Catalina or ????

TU everyone! (I wanted to avoid buying a new machine of course ;)

Have you had any problems with your SSD card prior to this update? Have you tried rebooting your Mac and then trying the install again? Have you tried deleting the downloaded file and attempting another install?

Take a look at available storage. I had an issue where I thought I had adequate storage yet Big Sur would not update because I needed more storage capacity. I ended up deleting a few movies I had on my storage drive and it was enough for me to do the update.

This was on my 2015 11-inch MacBook Air which is now updated to MacOS 11.4 beta 2 and running well...
