So i am installing Windows XP on my last gen MBP via bootcamp and basically i have made the partition about 10 times and i keep getting the same error even with different versions of windows XP!!!! So what happens is I pop in the disc, restart and it tells me it's copying system folders and then it just restarts when it's done and says "booting from disc...failed" it doesn't matter what format the drive is because i've tried it on different formats, both FAT32 and on NTFS...Please help because i'm really tired of not being able to have a Windows Partition!!! Thanks so much guys

Be sure to do a full format of NTFS or FAT32 when tryin to install XP. Coz i too got this error message, but fixed it by doin a full format with NTFS (not the quick format)....

I can install Vista with no Problems

But windows XP Pro SP1, SP2 and SP3 all come with the same error

%System Root%\Windows\System32\hal.dll
Missing or Corrupt.

I have googled it before. I have gone into Recovory Console and Manually Expanded the File from the install disk and Manually copied the file into the System32 folder. But I still don't have any luck.
I also Rebuilt the "Boot.ini" File.

Any one else have that problem?
