I loaded the public beta 2 on an external drive and used that to boot onto my mac mini several weeks ago to preview the changes. I played with Yosemite a little, and then switched back to Mavericks on the mini.

Since then I've loaded Yosemite beta 4 (then 5) on my laptop and am ready to make the switch to Yosemite on the mini. However, when I try to download it from the purchases section of the app store (from my mini) I get an error message and It will not download.

Does anyone know how to get Yosemite on my mini??

My bad ...

Sorry about that ...

"Error 1004 please try again later" and when I hit cancel, "We could not complete your request. There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (13)"

I can still plug in the external drive and boot to Yosemite on the mini, but I just cannot update the mini once I've unplugged the external drive.

Does the app store (on my mini) think that the Yosemite is already installed?

Figured it out ...

... Yosemite was already downloaded and "hiding" in launchpad ready to install
