Cannot Make Partition in Boot Camp 3.0

This is after I removed my previous windows installation so that I can install a newer version of windows with boot camp 3.0.

Am I able to install an OS from an .iso in boot camp?

Ah, I think I can help out on this one.

As far as the disk partitioning problem goes, I can recommend the following:

1. Reduce the size of the partition that you are trying to create. If you are unwilling to do this, or if this doesn't work, then try...
2. Temporarily copy your files (particularly anything big) off the drive you are trying to partition to make space.

I've ended up having to do the 2nd option in order for the partitioning to work last time (I had to copy my entire home folder).

With respect to the ISO question, if the ISO is of an operating system that Boot Camp supports then you can use the Disk Utility application to burn the ISO image to a DVD. Simply pop a DVD into your drive, open up Disk Utility, select Images > Burn and select the ISO image to burn.

Kelmon offered excellent advice. An alternative to copying data off the drive is to use a defragmentation utility, such as iDefrag, to condense the data on the disk. I'm not sure as to Snow Leopard compatibility. Boot Camp requires the use of a disc or USB media in order to install Windows. An ISO cannot typically be used, although there is a method to install Windows to a Boot Camp partition using an ISO if you have a copy of VMware.
