Cannot open App Store on my iPad

Every time I attempt to launch the App Store on my iPad, the application opens for a few seconds, then closes and launches the iTunes Store app.

I've tried resetting my iPad, I signed out of the store (through the iPad preferences app) and then signed in again, an I even tried my wife's account. Nothing has resolved the issue.

Anyone else experiencing this?
