Any advice? Apple replaced my 6 Plus and I backed up to iCloud prior to the swap, but my backup won't restore....

Any way to download it from the cloud and do it through iTunes? None of the tools I've found show iOS 9 backups on iCloud, just my old iOS 8 backups

You can only restore from a back up if the backup is made in the same iOS version. Assuming your backup is iOS 9, you will need to update the replacement phone to iOS 9 without restoring. When you have done that you can erase settings and data on the phone and restore from your iOS 9 backup.

How come a new phone was supplied to you with iOS 9 on it?...or are you saying you have already updated it to iOS9 before trying the restore?

Old phone had 9b2. Backed up right before the swap to iCloud. The new phone was 8.3, which I then upgraded to 9b2. The new phone says "Cannot Restore iCloud Backup" from my backup done right before I got the new phone.

Unbelievably to see Apple return your phone with iOS 9 beta 2 installed.

Check your last online backup time. If it is prior to June 8, then you need to dfu back to any iOS 8 version available in your hand to restore from iCloud backup.

If it is not, well, you may be able to restore, after beta 3 or 4 or even future beta.

Mine sticks at June 8, same day as wwdc 2015, and I cannot do iCloud backup. So if my phone needs to restore, the firmware will be restored to iOS 8.3, and I may be able to restore from backup.

Same issue here with beta 3. Woke up to a bricked phone this morning and had it replaced, then upgraded it to iOS9. It lists all my backups, with most recent being 2nd Sept, but it won't restore. I've also tried the two preceding backups - neither will restore.

I can probably try going further back but 1) not sure if it will restore anyway and 2) not sure what then happens to backups taken after that time - do I lose them altogether?

You shouldn't. ---I've tried downgrading to 8.4- updating a fresh beta still didn't work- getting error when restoring saying "cannot restore back up"....I'm going to wait till they release the master version of iOS 9 install that over my beta version then try and restore
Let me know if u figure anything out....
