Cannot Send Mail "The Connection to outgoing server 'p06-smtp.mail.me.com' failed"

Is anybody else having problems sending mail through their iCloud account. I can send and receive mails with my Exchange account but I can only receive with my iCloud account, it will not send. Its been like that since I upgraded and it still doesn't appear to send.

The error that comes up is:

Cannot Send Mail "The Connection to outgoing server 'p06-smtp.mail.me.com' failed" Additional outgoing mail servers can be configured in settings.

i got the same issue, though the message is

Cannot Send Mail "The Connection to outgoing server 'p07-smtp.mail.me.com' failed" Additional outgoing mail servers can be configured in settings.

Try to change p06-smtp.mail.me.com into p02-smtp.mail.me.com or p04-smtp.mail.me.com

A reboot solved my problem

Same problem here, and very often:

Connections to the server “smtp.mac.com” on the default ports timed out.

I think there are some providers that block me.com because of spam of some other reason. In any case the problems I'm having with me.com are endless. It was nice in 2006, but now it's time to move on to gmail or outlook.
