Cannot sync Google contacts

Every time I tried to enable syncing with Google contacts, I get 'Invalid Account or Password'.

I have several Gmail accounts and even tried other accounts just for the hell of it and it simply will not connect.

Anyone else have this problem?

I had this problem, couldn't get past it, so now im just using windows contacts.

I don't know what the problem ever was.

Strange, it doesn't make sense to include a feature that does not work. There must be a valid explanation here.
