I have a MacBook Air running Big Sur 11.7.10, which is the last update available as of 10-9-2024.

I have no problem syncing and backing up my iPhone 13 Pro Version 18.0.1 to this MacBook.

When I try to sync my iPhone 15 Pro, also running the latest update, with this same computer with the same cable, the computer does not recognize the phone. Rebooting both devices and switching cables does not help.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much!

I think you should have been offered an update the first time you plugged the iPhone 15 Pro into the computer, but since you apparently weren't, you could try installing the packages for which @bogdanw provided download links in this forum post.

EDIT: be sure to reboot after installing the packages.

Thank you very much for the reply!

I was offered the update when I plugged my iPhone 13 Pro in for the first time.

I did not get an update message when I plugged in the iPhone 15 Pro.
