I have an iMac 27 inch from 2017. I need to run a program for 12 hours per day with no input from the keyboard and mouse/trackpad (but not in kiosk mode). There is almost nothing happening on the screen (roughly every 30 to 45 minutes some pixels change). It's an artwork... so criticize the artist, not me, if that task sounds crazy...
I turned everything off in the system preferences (screen saver, energy saving, automatic logout after a period, etc.) and also executed "sudo pmset -a standby 0" in the terminal. Despite all that the screen goes black after ten minutes. Is there any other settings which I might have missed?
When pressing a key or the trackpad (or accessing the computer via screen sharing) I have to log in again, though the application is still running (hence it is probably not the standby mode but ).
Interestingly I do not have that problem on my MacBook pro from 2015, where the screen stays on with the above settings.
